This animation shows a thoracic aortic aneurysm (aortic aneurysm in the chest) treated with two stent grafts. Here, a small tube is passed up up from an artery in the leg, and releases a new lining (stent graft) that channels blood safely past the aneurysm. More dangerous open surgery is avoided.
